When Ruby first started with AIM tutoring, we listened to her challenges, and began to break down the language exam into small, manageable parts. She was able to better identify details, structure her keywords and inferences, and approach the tassk with confidence. After some practise, this became second nature, and she even started to love getting homework!
RUBY’S TESTIMONY
Ruby wasn’t getting the results she needed the year before GCSE’s and lacked self belief. Her teacher gave her pointers but didn’t show her how to achieve them.
As mocks arrived, Ruby was able to take on the exams with a newfound confidence, and the knowledge that she had some time to refine her skill before the real thing.
The final preparations included looking at the timings of the paper, how to plan, and how to use the exam time effectively. We utilised her mock results and feedback to address any areas for improvement, leading into the exam itself.
